No description foundCITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A Central Florida driver was killed when his school bus overturned during a race at the Citrus County Speedway.
Charles "Chick" Whitehead, 62, of Ocala, was pronounced dead when he crashed during the Figure 8 School Bus Races about 9:50 p.m. Saturday.
Citrus County Sheriff's Office deputies said Whitehead's bus landed on its roof.
Another school bus hit Whitehead's after he crashed, but no other injuries were reported.
The Medical Examiner's Office in Leesburg is scheduled to perform an autopsy.
Citrus County deputies are investigating the crash.
