The driver of the second truck suffered minor injuries but escaped serious injury despite the pole landing on the cab of the truck, deputies said.

Deputies were asking motorists to avoid the area, if possible, while cleanup and repair efforts were underway.

Normandy Boulevard is a nearby alternate route.

It may take three to five hours for electric company crews to remove the downed lines and render the area safe for travel again, deputies said.

The Florida Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
