Kingsland man sentenced to 90 years for producing child porn
BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A 41-year-old Kingsland man was sentenced Wednesday to 90 years in prison for his sexual exploitation of minors through the production of numerous images of child pornography.
Evidence presented at the guilty plea and sentencing hearings showed that on more than 22 occasions between 2009 and 2010, Angel Rivera sexually molested three children younger than 14 to create pictures and videos of that conduct.

The charges against Rivera arose out of a joint investigation by the Kingsland Police Department and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
"Despicable acts like those engaged in by this defendant and those like him demand the severest period of confinement allowed by law," said U.S. Attorney Edward Tarver. "The vile sexual exploitation of children cannot be tolerated by any society. Protecting this country's children is the highest priority for the Department of Justice and this United States Attorney's Office."
Each count to which Rivera pleaded guilty carried a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison, followed by at least five years of supervised release. Rivera was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
