Man killed while crossing Mayport Road

No description foundJACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A driver hit and killed a man crossing Mayport Road late Wednesday night.
Glen Keith Waddle, 57, was walking in a marked crosswalk on Mayport Road at Levy Road around 9:30 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Devin Mathews, 25, of Jacksonville Beach, didn't see Waddle because of his dark clothing and hit him.
Waddle died on scene. Mathews was not hurt.
Charges are pending, according to the FHP report.
