Fire extinguished at Florida RV Sales and Service

Firefighters dealing with heat issues battling fire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Firefighters with Jacksonville Fire and Rescue were quickly able to put out a fire at Florida RV Sales and Service.

The fire was reported by people passing by shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday. The state fire marshal is investigating the cause. There is no word yet on how much damage was done.

"It's a metal building, so we had to force entry and cut the doors. Once we got in the fire was under control relatively quickly, within 15 or 20 minutes," said Battalion Chief Brady Rigdon.

No one was in the building when the fire started and no one was injured. However, ambulances were brought to the scene so firefighters could re-hydrate.
