'7th Heaven' star Sarah Goldberg found dead

Actress died in her sleep of natural causes at age 40

Sarah Goldberg, who starred in "7th Heaven" and several other TV series, has died in her sleep. She was 40.

Goldberg's family confirmed she died in her sleep of natural causes at her family's cabin in southeast Wisconsin on Sept. 27, The Associated Press reported.

A heart ailment is thought to be the cause of death, although an autopsy was inconclusive.

Goldberg played the daughter of a Jewish rabbi who falls in love with a Christian pastor on "7th Heaven" from 2002-06, according to IMDb.

She went on to appear in television series including "90210," ''Judging Amy," ''The Beast" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
