LAKE CITY, Fla. – Columbia County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested two violent felons after a brief standoff on Thursday.

Deputies said they received a tip from a citizen that a Tyrece Roundtree, 25, was just seen on S.W. Jupiter Glen in the unincorporated area of the county. Arriving deputies saw Roundtree on the porch with Jamie Bartosek 25. When the deputies attempted to detain the two, Roundtree ran inside the home. Bartosek, who complied, told the deputies Roundtree was armed with a pistol.

Since it was believed that there were children and at least one other adult in the home, a perimeter was set and SWAT and negotiators were called out.

Prior to the arrival of SWAT, Roundtree came out and surrendered without incident. During the investigation, it was learned that Bartosek and Roundtree had several violent felony warrants out of Columbia County and they were arrested and transported to the Columbia County Detention Facility where they were booked.

Roundtree's warrants were for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, armed robbery $250,000 bond, armed carjacking and grand theft.

Bartosek's warrants were for armed robbery, armed carjacking and grand theft.

The warrants stemmed from an Oct. 6  incident on NW Suwannee Valley Road in which Roundtree and Bartosek were suspected of robbing a victim at gunpoint and of forcing the that person to drive them to Cedar Park Apartments.

The investigation continues.
