JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A heartbroken family is doing its best to stay strong as friends and loved ones gathered Saturday afternoon to say their goodbyes to 24-year-old Thomas McIntee.
Police still do not know who killed McIntee, who was shot during a robbery while he was working at a Gate gas station on Busch Drive.
Hundreds of people came together at the Eternity Funeral Home on the Southside to comfort one another.
The Justice Coalition addressed the public on behalf of McIntee's family Friday. The group is determined to catch the robbers who were caught on surveillance camera during the robbery.
A $23,000 reward is being offered for any information on the suspected robbers. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
At least one of the men pulled a gun and a 24-year-old clerk was shot and killed during a robbery attempt.
