3 arrested in Lake City home invasion, shooting

Cory Broadhead, Ty Eckelbarger and Tel Eckelbarger were arrested on multiple felony counts.

LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Lake City Police Department arrested three people in connection with a home invasion that happened on Friday.

Cory Broadhead, 25; Ty Eckelbarger, 19; and Tel Eckelbarger, 17, turned themselves into police late Saturday. All three are facing premediated attempted murder, battery and home invasion with a firearm charges.

Police say the trio kicked in a door to a residence and assaulted one person and demanded to know, "Where is the dope? Where is the weed?"

Police say one person was holding a .30-30 rifle and another suspect had a .380 handgun.

Police say Sylvester Hollie, 24 was shot in the leg and the head. Hollie was airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say several witnesses came forward and the suspects were developed. Police say they were in communication with family members for a peaceful resolution.
