Florida was third in the country in job creation in 2014. The Sunshine state created 230,600 jobs last year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Only California and Texas created more jobs than Florida. Texas created 457,900 jobs, more than any other state in the country. California created 320,300. Employment increased in all 50 states and the District of Columbia in 2014.

The unemployment rate also decreased overall. In 2014, 46 states and Washington, D.C. saw lower unemployment rates. 2 states had the rate increase and 2 states saw the rate remain the same.
