Man dies in crash on US-17 in Putnam County
Edgar Eidson, 87, killed in crash in Satsuma
No description foundSATSUMA, Fla. – An elderly man was killed in a crash in Satsuma Friday evening.
Edgar Eidson, 87, of Pomona Park, was traveling southbound on US-17 just south of Hoot Owl Road before 5 p.m.
Jamar White, 34, was traveling northbound on US-17.
Florida Highway Patrol says for unknown reasons the car being driven by White crossed into Eidson's lane and they collided head-on.
Eidson died from his injuries. White was flown to UF Health Gainesville with non life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.
