NYPD using Patrick Swayze movie for training

NEW YORK – The New York City Police Department has apparently turned to a Patrick Swayze cult classic to help teach its officers how to treat civilians.

The New York Post reported that the police department is showing scenes from the actor's 1989 movie "Roadhouse" as part of a training course.

In the scene, Swayze, who plays bouncer Dalton in the movie, spells out his rules for his staff with rule No. 3 being "be nice."

The police department has come under fire recently following the death of Eric Garner who died from a heart attack after being put in a chokehold.

The video is being shown to 22,000 officers during a three-day mandatory training course.
