Local shuttles bring revelers to One Spark

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – While the One Spark crowdfunding festival has been packed throughout the week, Friday night is expected to be one of the busiest nights and one business is catering to the After Dark crowd to help them with the parking nightmare some may be running into.

The streets may be packed with drivers not certain where to park, but not all drivers. Some are just parking in the shipyards for free and getting a free shuttle.

Ben Nicola is one of the drivers of the one spark after dark shuttle. "Good evening ladies and gentlemen. The Mercedes Benz vehicle downtown to the One Spark festival is departing now."

"There's a significant amount of parking down there but it's very expensive and secondly it's very crowded. So this is a very nice way to reward our customers and be a part of one spark," Nicola said.

It's a shuttle brought in by Brumos, an auto dealer that sells cars like Mercedes and Lexus, and for anyone that bought a car from Brumos, gets free service on the One Spark After Dark shuttle.

"It's a lot of fun. We get to meet a tremendous number of people from all walks of life who happen to be customers of the Mercedes Benz family, and we get to drive them down very carefully and bring them back," Nicola said.

Nicola said that the amount of passengers hasn't been that bad, but as thousands pack downtown Jacksonville, shuttles like these become a prized mode of transport.
