Fire nearly destroys Spring Glen home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A home was nearly destroyed after it caught fire in the Spring Glen area Thursday night.

Then Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to Anchor Lane near St. Paul Avenue in reference to a house fire.

Firefighters said there was heavy smoke, and were able to put out the blaze.

There was no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

JFRD said the home has major damage.

The state fire marshal is investigating the cause.
