Officer stuns 'aggressive' driver with taser

BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. – A police officer in Lawtey was confronted with a dangerous situation during a call to help a driver, according to the Bradford County Sheriff's Office.

Officer Jay Raulerson responded to reports of a silver Toyota stopped in the median with the driver attempting to wave down vehicles.

As the officer pulled up to help, the driver got out of the car and aggressively approached him, according to BCSO.

Officer Raulerson used a stun gun to subdue the driver. 

After further investigation, the driver was taken into custody for a medical evaluation prior to pursuing any criminal charges, the sheriff's office said.

The driver's identity was not released.
