Deputies were called out after Thrower was spotted stuffing merchandise from the Dollar General store into his shorts and under his shirt and then walking outside to his vehicle. Thrower then reportedly reentered the store and stuffed more merchandise under his clothes several times.
Deputy Ben Boots says he confronted Thrower who denied shoplifting. Boots found several items hidden under his clothing.
The suspect then let Boots search his truck where additional items were located that had been stolen from the store. The total cost of the stolen items was $36.40.
While searching the truck, Boots also found a bag of marijuana, a plastic bag containing methamphetamine, a brass pipe with marijuana residue inside and a plastic bag containing marijuana.
Thrower was placed under arrest without incident and booked into the Putnam County Jail under $2,516.00 bond.
A woman who was with Thrower was not charged as she was reportedly not involved with the theft of merchandise or the drugs in the vehicle.
