KINGSLAND, Ga. – As music from the marching band filled the air and the spirit of the crowd shook the field, supporters of the Camden County High School football team moved forward after the team's latest setback.
Friday night was the first night since four of the team's players were disciplined for beating up another player.
The Kingsland Police Department has turned the investigation over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation after a police report revealed coaches watched it happen.
Police said members of the football team beat, kicked and threw a JV student into a trash can after he wore the colors of an opposing team at a game in support of his girlfriend.

Dale Johnson has been supporting the Camden County High Wildcats for a decade. He said when he saw the video of the varsity football players beating up a JV player, he admits he was disappointed, but said the whole team shouldn't be punished.
"These people that have a problem with it, if they got four kids at home, if one does something wrong do they punish them all? No, they don't," Johnson said.
The school superintendent said the four players involved would be disciplined and if the coaches actually were present they would be dealt with as well. But it's unclear if the players involved in the incident participated in Friday night's game.
Many said although they were disappointed in what they saw in the video, the incident shouldn't take away from the positivity seen in the Camden County High School football program.
"The game is going to keep on going and they're still going to win," said Matt Thornton, who has a daughter in ROTC.
Johnson also said he's looking to move forward.
"I'm going to support my Wildcats," Johnson said. "These boys, we're their heartbeat and that's the best way I can put it."?
