The event features shopping, cooking classes, makeovers and encourages families to spend time with one another.

Mia Garwol came back to the event for another year to spend time with her mother and experience the different vendors. "There's all types of people and you get to see what people are wearing and, yeah, it's fun," Garwol said.

Katie McMillion is with the humanitarian organization, World Vision. She told News4JAX, the show is great exposure for their cause. "World Vision has been trying to get more exposure at these types of events where there's a lot of people going by. So, we're able to sell these fair trade jewelry gifts and be able to share the work that they're doing to have more people involved with child sponsorship," said McMillion.

The Southern Women's Show continues at the Prime Osborn Convention Center through Sunday.
