In March 2015, officers arrived at a West 8th Street residence and found a victim lying on the ground covered in blood. The investigation revealed that the victim was at a friend's house when Jackson showed up at the residence.

Jackson, who had previously been in a relationship with the victim's friend, became angry that the victim was at his former girlfriend's home. After an argument, Jackson pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene. The victim has recovered from his injuries.
