WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – A boy was stabbed Tuesday morning at Winter Springs High School by a girl described by students as his girlfriend, according to authorities.
Seminole County Public Schools tweeted that the boy was stabbed by a girl, who was taken into custody. Another boy was also taken into custody, police told News 6, but his involvement in the incident is not known.

"***ALERT***Male Student stabbed by female student @BearNationWSHS in apparent relationship dispute. Female student in custody," the school district tweeted.
"I see a kid walking up to the front office and he had a huge laceration and a huge blood mark on the back of his shirt," a student said. "I know some of my friends did hear the screaming and, basically, the kid was obviously in a lot of pain."
Officials said the boy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. Police said he wants to press charges against the girl.
Winter Springs police said the girl ran away after the stabbing but was found behind the school with another boy. Both were taken into custody.
Police said the size of the knife was not known.
Detectives continue to interview witnesses.
"All other students safe and back to class as normal," the district said in another tweet.
Seminole County Public Schools sent a message to parents, alerting them of the stabbing.
"(Tuesday) morning, during a class changeover, a female student stabbed a male student in what is being described as a relationship dispute. The female student was immediately taken into custody by law enforcement and the male student received non-life-threatening wounds and is currently being treated. This is a singular incident and all other students are safe and back conducting their normal school day."
The school is located at 130 Tuskawilla Road.
No other details have been released.
