Man's body found in Sherwood Forest
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Homicide detectives are investigating Wednesday evening after two neighbors saw a man's body behind an abandoned house on Portsmouth Avenue, in the Sherwood Forest community between U.S. 1 and the Trout River.
Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Chuck Ford said there are indications of foul play, but he would not say any more. The man was later identified as 27-year-old Antreenio George Hardwick.
"Currently the homicide until along with the ME are working together to process the scene, make an identification and determine the circumstances," Ford said. "We are going to process the scene with all the resources we have."
Police were working the area looking for evidence and witnesses They ask anyone with information about the man's death to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
