Around 1 a.m. Monday, Alachua County Sheriff's Office deputies found 24-year-old Joenathan Young III in an overturned Nisaan Titan off SW 175th Avenue. Deputies said he was partially clothed and bleeding from a gunshot wound when they found him. Young was taken to UF Health at Shands hospital for treatment.

According to ACSO, Ringgold, Williams, Rowe, and an unidentified accomplice, planned to rob Young and lured him from his home. During the robbery attempt, Williams shot the victim and stripped him of his clothing, deputies said.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. that same morning, ACSO deputies pulled over Ringgold on SE 13th Street for an unrelated traffic incident. Ringgold, Williams, and Rowe, as well as a fourth person, tried to run away from deputies. That led to both the Alachua County Sheriff's Office and the Gainesville Police Department conducting a search in the area.

Deputies in Levy County recognized Ringgold and called ACSO, who took him into custody.

Ringgold is still in the Alachua County Jail on charges of grand theft, robbery and attempted murder. Rowe, Williams, and Bess are also facing robbery and attempted murder charges.
