Investigators said Frisbie was traveling northbound on the inside lane of U.S. 1 and attempted to cross the lanes to travel southbound.

Frisbie violated the right of way of a second vehicle, driven by 27-year-old Kayla Gordie.

Gordie's vehicle then collided with the left side of Frisbie's Toyota Camry.

Frisbie was transported to Flagler Hospital where she died from their injuries, troopers said.

A passenger in Frisbie's vehicle, Lillian Warner, was seriously injured in the accident.

Gordie received minor injuries.

Northbound lanes of U.S. 1 were blocked until 9:44 p.m. while troopers investigated.
