ORLANDO, Fla. – A man was taken into custody Wednesday in connection with a robbery and shooting at an Orlando restaurant that left an employee wounded, according to deputies.
The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. inside Gator's Dockside, 13701 S. John Young Parkway.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a masked man entered the restaurant, brandished a gun and demanded money while forcing workers into an office. While an employee was complying, the gunman fired at least twice, striking a 35-year-old man who works at the restaurant.
The victim was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, deputies said. A witness was taken to Hunters Creek Medical Center for evaluation, deputies said.
Up to seven customers and four employees were in the restaurant at the time of the shooting, but no one else was hurt, officials said.
The gunman is believed to have driven off in a white Ford Mustang, deputies said. The Sheriff's Office said it located the possible getaway car at a nearby hotel.
No other details, including the suspect's name, have been released.
