Motorcyclist dies in crash No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist died after a crash Saturday afternoon on Jacksonville's Westside according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
It happened at about 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of Ortega Boulevard and Verona Street. The person who died has been identified as Derick Green, 39.
Investigators said a vehicle driving north on Ortega Boulevard began to make a left onto Verona Street. The vehicle did not yield to the motorcycle, and the motorcycle struck the vehicle.
Green was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to the hospital where he died. Investigators said he was not wearing his helmet.
