Crews battle fire at day care in Argyle Forest

Parents asked to call other locations to find out where to send kids

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Parents of children at Childtime Day Care in Argyle Forest will have to make new plans.

Crews were called Monday night to battle a fire at the day care, Jacksonville Fire Rescue said.

Firefighters responded to the fire at Childtime Day Care on Argyle Forest Boulevard near Cross Timbers Drive around 9 p.m.

According to Fire Rescue, flames and smoke were shooting through the roof upon arrival. Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. 

Parents of children who attend Childtime are asked to call the other two locations, Tutortime at 904-908-5500 or LaPetite 904-777-0440,  to find out where to send their children until Childtime Day Care reopens. 

There is no word yet on the extent of the damage.
