Meth lab discovered inside car at Fleming Island Walmart

FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – Four adults were taken into custody Wednesday evening after a mobile methamphetamine lab was discovered inside a car in the Fleming Island Walmart parking lot, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.

About 6 p.m., deputies were called to the store off County Road 220 after receiving reports of a shoplifter.

The man accused of shoplifting was linked to one other man and two women, who were taken into custody and questioned about the meth lab and shoplifting incident, the Sheriff's Office said.

The four arrested are 26-year-old Jonathan Scott Philips, 19-year-old Adrian L. Winnie, 45-year-old Michele Lynn Paradee, and 20-year-old Brandon Shawn McKinney, 20.

The active lab was neutralized by narcotics detectives. Deputies cleared the surrounding vehicles in the parking lot for safety reasons while the materials inside the mobile meth lab were disposed.

Their charges include manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking in meth, possession of fentanyl, and conspiring to manufacture meth.
