Woman found dead after apartment fire No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An elderly woman died in a fire at the Woodlake Park apartments on San Jose Boulevard Saturday morning, according to officials.
The fire started in the woman's living room, near her couch, fire officials said.
Jacksonville Fire-Rescue officials told News4Jax the fire seems to have started well before the fire department got a call at 9:40 a.m. The fire was under control quickly and there was no damage to surrounding apartments, officials said.
The unnamed woman died from injuries suffered in the fire, officials said.
Officials are not releasing the woman's name. Homicide detectives are on the scene.
