San Juan shooting victims released from hospital

Jacksonville police questioning 2 victims, third person

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two victims have been released from UF Health Jacksonville following a shooting Thursday night in a San Juan neighborhood, according to police.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office received calls of a shooting just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard. Two men were hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds.

A third person believed to be involved in the incident was found nearby. One handgun was recovered.

The two victims and third person are being interviewed by police. Investigators said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the shootings, but they didn't give another reason.

Police are continuing to investigate.
