(LAKANA) – The Olympic torch is getting closer to Rio, but the torch bearer had to dodge a man on Wednesday who tried to douse the flame with a fire extinguisher.
Torch bearers ran through Joinville, Brazil, when a man broke through the crowd with a fire extinguisher. A security guard tackled the man, and the torch bearers kept running with the flame intact, according to the Los Angeles Times.
This is the second attempt to put out the flame in the host country. A man in Maracaju tried to douse the flame with water a few weeks ago but hit a security guard instead, the Times reports.
