2 found dead in South Metro home

Jacksonville police didn't say how men died, but say it was not foul play

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two men were found dead early Friday afternoon in a home off Philips Highway, but the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said their deaths were not foul play.

Police and Jacksonville Fire-Rescue were called to the location on Westmont Street, which backs up to Interstate 95 in South Metro.

Homicide detectives were at the home for more than two hours before saying there was no crime, but they did not say how the two died.

Several people who were visibly upset waited for answers from the Sheriff's Office, but the medical examiner took the bodies from the scene and there was no explanation of what happened in the home.
