GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Officers have arrested the man suspected in two armed bank robberies, according to the Gainesville Police Department.
Police were searching for a William "Kyle" Rossignol, who they said robbed a Campus USA Credit Union on SW Archer Road near Shands just before 2 p.m. Tuesday. They believe he too robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on NW 13th Street the week prior.

Police said on Tuesday Rossignol pulled up his shirt to show the teller his handgun, then left.
"One of the GPD sergeants saw the vehicle fleeing the area and began a pursuit of the vehicle. They weaved around the southwest side of Gainesville and followed the vehicle into the Lexington Apartments," Officer Ben Tobias, with the Gainesville Police Department, said.
Rossignol stopped his car and ran off on foot. Police searched southwest of the area with dogs and air support.
Hours went by and shortly after police concluded their search, he was spotted around 8 p.m. Tuesday and taken into custody.
