Man convicted in 2014 child sex case

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 56-year-old man was convicted Thursday in a 2014 child sex case.

James Willie Holt, 56, was found guilty of lewd or lascivious molestation, according to the State Attorney's Office. 

In Oct. 2014, Holt inappropriately touched a 3-year-old, prosecutors said. The child later told her mother, who contacted authorities. 

Holt now faces life in prison. He will be sentenced the week of Sept. 19.
