Deputies identify man shot, killed in Hawthorne No description found
HAWTHORNE, Fla. – A man was shot and killed Monday evening in the Hawthorne area, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies identified the victim as Frank Rutledge Jr., 33.
About 11:30 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to a report of a possible shooting in the area of 1215 County Road 20A. When deputies arrived, they discovered that a man had apparently been shot.
Rutledge was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and detectives from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement continue to investigate the deadly shooting.
