Man airlifted after vehicle fire in Walmart parking lot

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – A man was burned in a vehicle fire Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of an Orange Park Walmart, according to the Clay County Fire Department. 

The fire was reported about 2:30 p.m. outside the Walmart on Blanding Boulevard.

John Ward, public information officer for the Fire Department, said the man was airlifted to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

Ward said the Clay County fire marshal and the Clay County Sheriff's Office will be investigating the vehicle fire.
