4th-grade teacher charged with DUI Teacher stopped, arrested after weaving off, on highway, police said

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A fourth-grade teacher was arrested Sunday for DUI after other drivers saw her driving erratically, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mill Creek Elementary School teacher Jamara Michelle Washington, 31, was stopped by police after other drivers reported that she was weaving in and out of her lane on County Road 210 West, officials said.
Officers said they saw Washington drifting off and on the highway and swerving into other lanes.
When Washington was stopped by police, officers said they could smell alcohol on her. Police said she failed the field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI.
Authorities said she failed a breath test at the St. Johns County Jail, blowing .194 percent and .188 percent blood-alcohol levels.
