Man shot outside Eastside apartment complex

Victim taken to UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries, JSO says


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot in his thigh outside an apartment complex on the city's Eastside Wednesday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. 

Police said the man was shot once about 8 p.m. behind the Eastside Gardens Apartments on East 1st Street near A. Philip Randolph Boulevard. 

He was taken to the UF Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said they have not been able to find any witnesses, and the victim was not able to provide any information about the gunman.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
