Deputies: Armed man robs Larry's Giant Subs in Ponte Vedra Beach

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Sunday at a Larry's Giant Subs restaurant in Ponte Vedra Beach, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

Deputies responded just before 5 p.m. to the sandwich shop on A1A North.

Employees told deputies that a man wearing a mask and armed with a handgun enter the business, demanding money.

Cash was given to the robber, who then ran off, investigators said.

Deputies said the robber was described as being a tall, thin black male.
