JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – From science to athletics, to camp at the zoo, parents looking for day camps for their school-aged children have a number of options this year, according to Jax4Kid's Alison Peters-Carlson.
For instance, MOSH is offering a stay-cation approach to spring camp this year for K-5 students.
"They can visit the Eiffel tower in Paris, Mayan ruins, The Great Wall of China in one week without ever leaving MOSH," Peters-Carlson said.
If exercise is what you are after, try Rebounderz spring camp, where activities include trampoline, Laser Tag, unreal bowling, a ninja warrior course, climbing walls and more.
"It's nothing but exercise and fun and activity. It's a great camp," Peters-Carlson said.
For parents looking to introduce golf to their children, Top Golf, near the Town Center is offering a spring camp and the YMCA camps are a favorite of many.
S.M.Art Girlz, Inc. Good Vibrations Camp focuses on sound.
"They're going to make music instruments, make their own Bluetooth speaker, learn about ear anatomy, learn how dolphins and other animals use echoes to communicate," Peters-Carlson said. "They'll learn sign language and everything having to do with the spoken work. Just a really creative camp."
