Morton's returning to Downtown Jacksonville

Steakhouse has plans to open new restaurant

No description found

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Morton’s Steakhouse is ready to return to Jacksonville. Plans are to move into the  Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. Look for the restaurant to move into the space that used to be the Plaza III Steakhouse, which closed 8 years ago.

It’s been 5 years since Morton’s closed its Southbank location.  That closing came after the company changed hands and Morton’s closed a number of its steakhouses nationwide.

At the new location there will be almost 300 seats with dining inside and out on the patio. There will also be a private dining room.

No word when the eatery might open or how many jobs it will create.
