Deputies look to ID 3 accused of stealing sunglasses

Theft reported at Sunglass Hut at outlet mall in St. Augustine

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Three young men accused of taking sunglasses from a store at a St. Augustine outlet mall were captured on surveillance video, deputies said.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office posted pictures of the trio to its Facebook page, asking for help to identify them.

The thefts were reported at the Sunglass Hut at the ST. Augustine Premium Outlets on State Road 16, west of the interstate, deputies said.

Deputies said the three suspects entered the store around 4 p.m. Sunday and began looking at Ray Ban Sunglasses.

After a few minutes, they allegedly placed the sunglasses in their front shorts pockets and left the store without paying for the merchandise, deputies said.

The sunglasses are valued at about $200 each.
