Page was found in his cell, not breathing. His family members said detectives told them he killed himself.

"For them to say he hung himself, it's crazy. I've never seen my nephew depressed. My nephew has always had a smile on his face," said April Ellis, according to the report.

Page's mother, Nicole, said that a week before his death, her son wrote a letter to his dad.

"It was like, I'm sorry daddy for putting you in this situation again," Nicole Page said according to WCJB. "I'm getting right with the lord, just stuff like that."

According to the report, Page was arrested in July on a sexual assault charge against a minor younger than 12 with no bond.

The family is planning a candle-lit vigil Friday night and his funeral will be Saturday, Sept.30.
