Ex-boyfriend sought after Bradford County woman's disappearance

Melissa Infinger, James Busbee were last seen Friday

BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. – The Bradford County Sheriff's Office is looking for information on the whereabouts of 35-year-old Melissa Infinger, and also want to speak to her ex-boyfriend, 35-year-old James Busbee.

Infinger and Busbee have not been seen since Friday, deputies said. Investigators are concerned because they said Infinger has had past issues with Busbee, and Busbee has a history of mental illness.

Infinger's mother and father are both distraught after their daughter's disappearance. They're pleading anyone with information to come forward.

"I just want my daughter back," said Infinger's mother, Erin Clyburn.

"We love her. We love her so much. We all feel helpless. If it's not too late, it's not too late. If you haven’t done anything to hurt her, you're in a better spot right now to let her go," said Sarah Guthrie, Infinger's cousin and best friend. "If she did wander off and go with him willingly, then I would just encourage her to think about her kids."

Maj. Brad Smith, with the Bradford County Sheriff's Office, said a friend of Infinger received a text from her phone at 8 a.m. Saturday saying she would not be able to meet up with her.

But Smith said the odd thing is that Infinger was not supposed to meet her friend.

Busbee was last seen Friday in Baker County. He's 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 250 pounds and has hazel eyes. Investigators said he may be traveling with Infinger in a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva, similar to the one pictured, with Florida tag HJM-H46.

"If anybody knows anything, please contact the police, his family, anybody. We just want to know he's OK," said Dusti Depasque, Busbee's sister. "I don’t think my brother did anything. I'm not sure if anybody did anything to him because I don't know. We haven't been able to talk with him."

Anyone with information on Infinger or Busbee is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 904-966-6161.
