GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – A young man was injured in a shooting Tuesday night in a Lake Asbury neighborhood, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies were called sometime before 8:50 p.m. to investigate in the Arava subdivision, just south of County Road 739B.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Chris Padgett said investigators learned that a person about 18-years-old was shot and suffered minor injuries.
"The other subject(s) involved fled the scene; however, our detectives are actively working the incident," Padgett said.
Deputies believe the victim was likely shot by someone he knew.
"Preliminary investigation has led to this being an isolated incident and we do not believe there is a threat to the community at this time,” the sheriff's office reported.
