GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gainesville Police Department on Monday announced three arrests after an armed robbery at a Bojangles.

According to police, on Feb. 13, two people wearing masks forced their way into the restaurant on Southwest Archer Road while employees were trying to close. One of the burglars pointed an assault-style rifle at the employees and demanded money.

Police announced Monday they arrested 41-year-old Kenneth Brown, 37-year-old Arkenda Branton and 52-year-old Christopher Wiggins. They were charged with related offenses.

Police said Branton, an employee at the Bojangles, was originally reported as a victim of the robbery, but an anonymous source came forward and said Branton colluded in the robbery.

Brown is a five-time convicted felon while Wiggins is a nine-time convicted felon, according to police.
Police said the trio might be involved in other crimes.
