Man shot, killed in Mixon Town home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot and killed inside a home in Mixon Town, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Monday morning, homicide detectives were called to 300 Nixon Street where the shooting took place around 4:10 a.m. This is near McCoy Creek Boulevard.
Rescue attempts were made but the man did not survive. Officers said several witnesses were in the home at the time and were all detained. They are cooperating with the investigation.
Officers also pulled over a vehicle leaving the scene. Three people were detained questioned by detectives to find out how they were involved.
