Police investigate shooting at Southside apartment complex No description found
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Rescue personnel and police were called to a shooting Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on Beachwood Boulevard on Jacksonville's Southside.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man was shot in the leg about 10:50 a.m. He was hospitalized but expected to recover.
Witnesses said an argument preceded the shooting and the gunman left on foot.
The victim told police he had never seen the suspect before. No description of the suspect was provided.
According to News4Jax records, this is the ninth person shot in the last five days in Jacksonville, brings the total for the year to 210.
