Missing teen found safe, according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police have located a teen who was reported missing on Monday.

Police said they responded just after 5 p.m. Monday to Intrepid Lane, in the area of Atlantic and Hodges boulevards, where they were told the 16-year-old teen was missing.

Due to the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help to make sure she is safe.

In a release sent just after midnight, police said she was found safe and thanked the community for their assistance.
