Police: Mobile meth lab found near elementary school

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville elementary school was evacuated late Wednesday afternoon after police found what they believed to be a mobile meth lab nearby.

A suspicious car was reported about 4 p.m. at the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Detroit Street.

When police investigated, they found what they believed to be a mobile meth lab.

Out of an abundance of caution, evacuations were ordered in the area, including Annie R. Morgan Elementary School.  

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Hazmat Team are responding to investigate and mitigate any hazards.
