HASTINGS, Fla. – St. Johns County police have captured a second teen Tuesday who escaped from a juvenile facility.

The second juvenile, Earl Leon Bostic, 16, who escaped from the Hastings Youth Academy yesterday was captured in downtown Hastings. Police said that a citizen told the Sheriff's Office he had witnessed an individual walking between several buildings on Latin Street. Deputies who had remained on perimeter throughout the night secured the immediate area and took him into custody without further incident, according to police.

Both individuals will face escape charges and will be processed back into the judicial system on the new charges.

Jose Alberto Rodriguez, 18, was taken into custody hours after he and another teen, who is still being sought, escaped from the Hastings Youth Academy Monday afternoon, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said. 

Rodriguez and Bostic were reported missing after they were last seen wearing blue jumpsuit uniforms in the recreation yard shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, deputies said.

Hours later, deputies said, Rodriguez was found near a home in downtown Hastings. Rodriguez, who is from Miami, is in custody on charges of robbery by sudden snatching, grand theft, burglary and trespassing.

This is the second escape from this facility in just over a month. In early April, four teens escaped and were captured a few hours later.
